I am back from my Indonesia trip. -The End- Labels: Back from Indonesia...
Purpose: Partially was for holiday, and to also help my dad bring back some stuffs from Indonesia. He's gonna based in Singapore.
In Short,
What I saw from this trip: The Rich. The Poor. The contrast of two worlds. The corrupted.
Experienced: -The life of being a shopaholic n 'tai tai' with mum for few days.
-The Indonesian life n trying very hard to learn some indonesian language.
- The shopping Malls there are really big and lots to shop. For eg, the one near my dad's place, over the years they have been extending the mall till now is like almost 3 times the size of Tampines mall. Madness shopping.
- The traffic conditions there is really bad, actually risked my life crossing those roads while walking to the Mall. I can't really find any traffic lights and mum and i have to risk our lives jay walking while the vehicles were coming towards us non-stop.
Learnt: -The Life of being a shopaholic n 'tai tai' can be pretty scary...
-The rich are really rich. To me is like spending money like water...
-Some of the stuffs and services there are actually really cheap compared to Sg, perhaps this is why the riches are so able to spend generously..
-While the poor, are really poor to the extent of begging on the road under the sunny hot weather...
-Felt fortunate to born in a country where at least there is still fairness, justice and peace.
Okie, the pictures shall do the talking... Aircraft A330... Arriving Jakarta... bout 1 hr 20mins flight.
From the airport, it was another hour of travelling by car to reach my dad's place of stay. My dad has been living in this 2 storey house for 14 years...The house is rent by my dad's company for my dad to live in. The above pictures is the outside view of the house.
The second level of the house. 2 guest rooms, one master bedroom with toilet n balcony and a place to hang laundry.
The 1st level. Living room, dining area, small garden, Tv room, kitchen and maid's room n bathroom. I dont know why but i like the stairs alot.
I found this letter in my dad's room. It was written by me when i was still a kid, i dont recall though. Upon reading it, just felt a kinda warmth in my heart..=x And the teddy bear i drew is actually a soft toy i used to like it alot n bought by my dad.
The next few pictures are actually some of the grand and beautiful houses i took in the area i lived in. Some are really beautiful. And it also goes to show how rich they are. These were actually taken while my dad, mum and i will going for a stroll ard the neighbourhood after our dinner. Btw, the area my dad stay in Jakarta is called 'Kelapa Gading', the district is considered more for the middle to high end class population. Hence in that district you wont get to see the less priviledge ones there.
On the 14th of Mar,Sat morning, went to this place called 'Puncak' Mountain where the temperature was below 23 degree celcius? Weather was cooling..
:)
The fog came rather quickly and within mins it just rains..
After visiting the 'Puncak ' Mountain, dropped by the Istana and the Botanic garden there which is called, 'Kubon Raya Bogor' Botanic Garden.
And the following pictures are SOME of the food that i had at SOME restaurants tt are rather famous there and home-cooked food at home..wahaha... Angke Restaurant: Famous for their chicken meat and Tofu.
Dimsum(Forgot the restaurant's name)
Pondok Laguna: Famous for the Fried fish. Super yummy and crispy!
Home-cooked Food...haha
Instant noodle! Sedaaap~ LOL...
Food at the foodcourt at Kelapa Gading Mal...
Bakso Mee.. One of the typical Indonesian food. Is tasty. A similar taste of Sg's Mincemea noodles.
Drinking coffee at GloriaJean's... The price there is bt $1 to $2 cheaper than Sg's.
WOW.... Instant Noodles madness... The whole row with different brands and flavours.
Is so shiok when u can actually buy them individually and not 5 in one packet tt kind.Oh and there's this mall called,' Mal Of Indonesia', they have like a castle-liked theme for the mall. And there's even rides inside the mall jus like the above picture, 'Free Fall' rides.
And also the 'Flying Swing' Ride and many more...
On the 15th Mar, Sun, it was a unlucky day for us.. Dad got caught by the traffic police for driving the wrong direction to have lunch at a mall but dad got away with it by some means. However that's not the end of it. 2nd incident occured, dad's car slightly scratched another owner's car front. The security guard who saw it got scared and doesnt allow us to go first until my dad settled the problem with this car owner..
And so we waited from 2pm+ till 6pm before a lady came. Lucky enough, the lady said she had car insurance to cover for the small car scatch so we neednt pay any $.. But our intial plan to visit my dad's factory work was unfulfilled and had to go on another day..
Saw those houses there? There are actually slums and quarters... Which are actually illegal to live in...
The opposite of the richs..
A man trying to Fish for food but to no avail... Was it for leisure or for living?
Way back to Singapore...Simply loves the view while on air especially sunset or sunrise...I can never get sick of viewing it....
